e-Learners' Teacher-Facilitator: As we had an e-learner leave the group last week, we've had two other students in today observing. With the help of their home teacher, we were conclusively able to decide on one of them joining our group ...so...I now welcome in Esther.  I am confident that her thinking and learning journey with us will be a long and very prosperous one:)

We started the morning off with a review of last week's tasks and achievements and progressed on to a group T-chart activity that required students to think critically about rules as expections and responsibilities as an e-Learner.  They also had to consider a strength, weakness and so what for each idea that they also came up with.  It was very interesting to see the group dynamics and need I say lack of ability at times to think ocritically and creatively 'outside the square'.  We need to work more on developing this skill so that students as e-learners are activity thinking about basically everything!

Online polls created in Survey Monkey are starting to filter out by e-mail to selected teachers and e-pals are starting to e-mail back.  I must work continually work alongside e-leaners re: reframing questions and guiding/targeting information for the right purposes.

I spent some time talking and interacting with students about the left and right hemispheres today and that went down rather well.  I am impressed how much they enjoy this very broad thinking and learning journey.  Thank goodness for the key conecpts and ability to stay focussed on the topic at hand being "Me and My Environment".  Now.....on to another wonderful day tomorrow:O
e-Learners' Teacher-Facilitator: I've spent a considerable amount of the time this week with my laptop.  There have been a few very early mornings and 1-2 late nighters.  It took me 4 hours to create and upload the 2 day timetable then enter information into my google calendar.  I seem to get so hooked in what I am dabbling with or finishing, that time just passes quickly!

This week we welcomed yet another member to our team:)  Students are becoming more aware of our daily routine, developing confidence in themselves as e-learners and working alongisde like-minded 'others' is definitely a bonus for yes, both parties. They have achieved alot in terms of work using web2tools, getting their first e-mails to e-pals in Canada away, designing on-line surveys for the Life Round Here Project, skyping again.... amongst alot of 'hard-out' thinking and learning.  They are beginning to take care by focusing more on spelling and grammatical errors.  I have also noticed the need to revisit the 7 servants and prompt them to reframe their questions.  Persistence and managing self are two values 'on the cards' this week.

Noel asked that I share the e-Learners journey with staff at our Tuesday hui.  I probably spoke far too long - am so passionate about what we are doing:O

RELLCO are calling for Presenters and as the theme is 'improving student outcomes' I am considering taking 4 students and presenting a workshop on 'Outcomes from an e-Learners perspective'....more to come on that later")

PeaK-ICT: Our wiki has had quite a makeover and  I am still working on a number of pages.  It really does take some time to get information on-line.  Would love to have other contributors add to pages - work on that one.  Off to the Learning at School Conference next week.
e-Learners' Teacher-Facilitator: I so overkilled on classroom planning that I really had to STOP and consider what was important and could be achieved within our given timeframe.  We set up student weebly accounts and welcomed Gemma and Monica into the group.  Unfortunately Juan left our school day two.

I decided to use a different web2tool each week to visually display the timetable: Stixy - quick, simple and very effective in the form of post-it notes.  I really wanted to use interactive graphic organisers but the ICT IWB is not working at the moment - so I am having to find other programmes to use.  In all a very productive, yet FAST week.  Need to slow the pace down, include a checklist clipboard for e-Learners, ask for a couple of dictionaries, revisit planning and refine accordingly.

PeaK-ICT:  Work on event/s dates and possible conference later in the year.  E-mail Principals for a Management Hui and discuss vision for schools linking with PeaK-ICT vision of learning.
For some reason or another the week has seemed to drag even though we started on Tuesday.  It is however nice to be back in routine.  I have set up a thinking and learning classroom in the ICT suite.  Spent quite a bit of time laminating thinking tools and strategies.  Need to contact Adrienne re: e-pals and also Lois re: Digital storytelling project.

I am looking forward to working again with the e-Learners.  Have planned an extensive IT based unit that should compliment the Inquiry Learning Tackle box.

PeaK-ICT: Looking forward to the L@S Conference in about three week's time.  Really have to consider how PeaK-ICT teacher PD will be managed this time round.
